I finished my medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Prishtina, Kosova in June 2021. In September 2021 I was awarded the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship (ESKAS) and started my MD-PhD at the Institute of Tissue Medicine and Pathology, University of Bern under the co-supervision of Prof. Inti Zlobec and Prof. Mario P. Tschan. My work focuses on CDX2's role in colorectal cancer cell motility and tumor budding. I have always loved the intersection of cancer cell biology, histology, and AI in medicine, hence I consider myself lucky to be working on a project that encompasses both molecular biology and digital pathology.
