After studying human medicine in Munich with training stays in Johannesburg and New York, pathology training at Würzburg and Bern followed, with specialization in hepato-pancreato-biliary, head and neck, gynecologic and breast pathology as well as neuropathology. Since 2017, Dr. med. Martin Wartenberg is working as staff pathologist at the Institute of Tissue Medicine and Pathology, University of Bern. Research projects and collaborations in particular concern pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
